Wheeled Coach displays new ambulance models in Indianapolis

Wheeled Coach is presenting three advanced ambulances at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC International) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The event, which is taking place from April 18 to 20, 2024 at Booth #3920, features the latest innovations from the company.

These ambulances are designed to meet the diverse needs of fire and rescue agencies globally.

Abel Del Rio, sales director at Wheeled Coach, highlighted the capabilities of their vehicles: “Wheeled Coach offers exceptional versatility and customization in our ambulances to meet the needs of our customers.

“This is reflected in the ambulances we have on display at FDIC and we appreciate our customers who have let us show off their trucks.”

Key features and design elements of the new ambulances

Each of the three ambulances showcased includes the Per4Max Seatbelt Safety System and Wheeled Coach Cool Bar HVAC System, emphasizing safety and comfort.

The first model, a Type 1 for West Hancock EMS in Iowa, is built on a Ford F450 4×4 chassis.

It features a 170″ Type 1 Modular Body with a striking graphics scheme, front and rear Liquid Spring suspension, and an innovative interior layout that includes a heart monitor tower and temperature-controlled storage.

The second ambulance, known as the Type 1 Texas Edition for the Laredo Fire Department in Texas, is mounted on a Dodge 4500 4×2 Chassis.

It sports eye-catching red paint with gold leaf graphics and includes high-end features like all-aluminum interior cabinetry, a locking drug box, and advanced electronic systems.

The third, a Type 3 165+ Updated Design Demo on a Chevy G4500 Chassis, features a 6″ cab extension for additional EMS personnel comfort and a redesigned storage layout.

It also includes upgraded lighting and electronic systems for enhanced operational efficiency.
