March 26, 2024

Telgian Engineering & Consulting hosts educational webinar

Telgian Engineering & Consulting (TEC) has announced that its fire protection expert, Tracey Bellamy, will conduct a webinar titled “Understanding 5-Year Sprinkler Inspections and Pipe Corrosion” on April 11, 2024.

The event, organized by Fire Smarts, is scheduled from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm ET.

This session aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the NFPA 25 standards for 5-year inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.

The webinar will particularly focus on the required internal piping assessments and how these differ from other inspection requirements, specifically when an internal obstruction inspection is warranted.

Tracey Bellamy, who brings over 30 years of experience in the fire protection field, will lead the webinar.

The course is designed to elaborate on the scope of work necessary for conducting both a piping assessment and an obstruction investigation.

Moreover, Bellamy will outline the typical methods used for these essential tasks.

Course objectives and learning outcomes

Participants of the webinar can expect to gain valuable insights into the distinctions between internal piping assessments and obstruction investigations.

Attendees will learn to identify the various triggers that necessitate an obstruction investigation.

Additionally, the webinar will cover the minimum required number of specific locations for conducting an internal assessment of the piping system.

This knowledge is critical for professionals in the field to ensure compliance with NFPA 25 requirements and to maintain the operational integrity of fire sprinkler systems.
