UL Solutions receives 2025 Habitat Hero Award

UL Solutions was recognized with a 2025 Habitat Hero Award, presented by Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity and accepted by Jennifer Scanlon, President and CEO of UL Solutions, on behalf of the company.

This award was given in recognition of its support and contributions to help the nonprofit organization achieve its vision in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Drawing about 400 guests to the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, the 10th annual Habitat Hero Award Dinner raised more than $1.1 million to build and repair affordable homes.

UL Solutions served as a Neighborhood Builder sponsor for this year’s dinner and Alex Dadakis, executive vice president and chief business operations and innovation officer at UL Solutions, served as an event co-chair.

Habitat for Humanity

For 40 years, Habitat for Humanity has had a strong presence in the Chicago metropolitan area across seven counties. Chicagoland Habitat is a support organization for five local Habitat affiliates, helping to raise awareness, support capacity building and provide resources.

UL Solutions was recognized for partnering with Habitat for Humanity through volunteer efforts and charitable contributions that fund employee build days. The company has been active with multiple Habitat affiliates in the Chicago area for more than 15 years.
