Thompson Safety, a provider of fire protection, first aid and safety services has shared its acquisition of 1st Fire Safety, a fire protection company based in Austin, Texas.
The deal aims to significantly expand Thompson Safety’s fire protection footprint in the Austin market and enhance its ability to provide comprehensive safety solutions for customers across the region.
As part of the agreement, Steven Monaco, former owner of 1st Fire Safety, will retain the company’s specialty products division and continue to partner with Thompson Safety moving forward.

The acquisition brings together two teams of expert technicians, creating a stronger service platform for both existing and new customers.
Current 1st Fire Safety clients will now benefit from Thompson Safety’s full-service advanced fire protection offerings, while Thompson’s existing safety customers in Austin will gain access to a full suite of fire services.
The acquisition will expand Thompson Safety‘s fire protection reach in the Austin region, according to the company.
It will also help to deliver advanced fire protection services, including alarms, sprinklers, suppression, monitoring, exit lighting and more.
Safety customers can gain access to fire protection, while fire protection clients now have access to Thompson’s first aid and safety programs.
The acquisitions also intends to retain the highly skilled technicians who work to ensure continuity of service and customer satisfaction.
