U.S. partnerships broaden access to battery fire agent

Full Circle Lithium has announced new distribution agreements across the United States and Canada for its lithium-ion battery fire suppression agent, FCL-X™.

According to the company’s 23 June 2025 statement, Howell Fire and Rescue, Heiman Fire Equipment, Swift Group LLC, Central Alabama Training Solutions, Great Plains Fire, FYR-TEK Inc., and Safetek Profire have all joined the manufacturer’s regional distribution network.

Full Circle Lithium stated that the addition of these companies reflects a shift toward regionally focused distribution for its FCL-X™ products, including handheld extinguishers and recharge units.

The company reported that the new agreements supplement an existing agreement with US Fire Pump and extend FCL-X™ product access to over 25 U.S. states and all Canadian provinces.

All other U.S. regions not currently assigned to the listed distributors will continue to be served directly by Full Circle Lithium.

Distribution strategy targets first responder markets

Full Circle Lithium said the shift to regional partners supports its goal of improving access to lithium-ion battery fire response solutions for emergency services and industrial users.

The company explained that its strategy includes granting defined exclusive distribution rights for FCL-X™ Extinguisher, FCL-X™ Recharge, and FCL-X™ PRO product lines, while retaining separate arrangements for its industrial-grade ProMax product with US Fire Pump.

Each distributor will serve a designated set of states or provinces. For example, Howell will serve seven eastern U.S. states including Ohio and Pennsylvania, while Heiman Fire Equipment will cover parts of the Midwest and Mountain West.

In Canada, Safetek Profire has been appointed to handle nationwide distribution.

The company stated that it maintains global marketing rights for all its products and may establish further agreements, provided they do not conflict with current contracts.

Technical overview of the FCL-X™ fire suppression agent

Full Circle Lithium described FCL-X™ as a water-based agent developed specifically to address lithium-ion battery fires.

The company said the product mitigates lithium oxidation reactions, reduces hydrogen generation, and stabilizes decomposing electrolytes, based on results from third-party lab testing and live fire evaluations.

According to the manufacturer, FCL-X™ is non-hazardous, dissipates heat rapidly, and forms a protective barrier over lithium-containing surfaces.

The company added that the solution requires minimal cleanup and is designed to be usable across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

It stated that these characteristics aim to support safer and more efficient emergency response to battery-related fire incidents.

Statements from Full Circle Lithium leadership

Carlos Vicens, CEO, Founder, and Director of Full Circle Lithium, said: “The FCL-X™ handheld product line of fire suppression offers cutting-edge technology specifically crafted for efficient, effective, and safe response, reducing the risks associated with lithium-ion battery fires.

“We look forward to growing a strong distribution network in the US and Canada that guarantees access to this vital safety solution, ultimately protecting people and property.”

Vicens added: “Through these new distribution agreements, we are continuing our mission of delivering targeted safety technologies to where they are most needed.”
