The Institution of Fire Engineers seeks new International President

The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) is inviting candidates to stand for the role of International President, as reported by the IFE.

The current International President, Hayley Burgess, will complete her tenure at this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 24, 2024.

In preparation for this transition, nominations are now open for the 2024-25 International President position.

The International President, a Trustee of the IFE, plays an active role on the Board and is integral in shaping the future of the fire profession.

The successful candidate will serve as the most senior ambassador for the institution globally, representing the IFE on an international stage.

Hayley Burgess to step down at AGM

Hayley Burgess, the current International President, has been commended for her achievements during her tenure.

Her term will conclude at the AGM in October.

The IFE expressed its gratitude to Burgess for her contributions and announced the opening of nominations for her successor.

The next International President will be elected by the Board and will serve until the 2025 AGM.

This role is crucial as the IFE develops its next strategy to enhance global presence and influence.

Application process for candidates

Candidates interested in the role of International President must submit their nominations by 12 noon BST on July 31, 2024.

Applications should include all necessary supporting information and be sent to company.secretary@ife.org.uk .

Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
