Ralph Bless, Executive Vice President of Innovation and Excellence at Telgian Engineering & Consulting, has announced he will present a Fire Smarts webinar on “Signage Requirements for Fire Protection Systems” on 22 May, 2025 from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm ET.
NFPA 13 ‘Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems’ and NFPA 25 ‘Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems’ both contain guidance on required signage for water-based fire protection systems.
This includes many types of signs such as hydraulic placards, spare fire sprinkler lists, general valve identification and other general information about the system.
NFPA 13 focuses on the requirements during construction and renovation, while NFPA 25 covers guidance on what signage technicians should verify during regularly scheduled inspections.
The presenter, Ralph Bless, will discuss signage requirements; what these signs are for, why they are required and the impact when they are missing from fire protection systems.
