Avon Technologies names Vasilios Brachos President of Team Wendy

Ballistic helmet industry veteran will lead Team Wendy’s next phase of protection innovation and growth across military, commercial and international markets.

Avon Technologies plc has appointed Vasilios Brachos as president of Team Wendy, a provider of head protection systems for military, law enforcement, search and rescue, and adventure sports markets.

The appointment is effective immediately, with Brachos also joining the Avon Technologies plc Group Executive Committee. The company said the move will support Team Wendy’s focus on innovation, operational excellence and expansion across military, U.S. commercial and international markets.

Brachos brings nearly 25 years of experience in advanced head protection systems. His background includes senior technology and product development roles covering ballistic helmets, helmet pads, retention systems and soldier-system integration.

Team Wendy has built its reputation around helmet systems, impact protection and wearer performance. Its products combine ballistic protection technologies with traumatic brain injury mitigation and comfort solutions for demanding operational environments.

As president, Brachos will lead the next phase of Team Wendy’s strategy, including strengthening the company’s position in core military markets while accelerating growth through new products, customer service and operational improvements.

“Team Wendy has a proud heritage of innovation and a strong reputation for protecting those who protect others,” Brachos said. “I am honored to lead the business at such an exciting time and look forward to working with our talented team to continue serving our customers, advancing new technologies and driving the next phase of growth.”

Jos Sclater, CEO of Avon Technologies plc, said the company sees opportunities to grow Team Wendy by defending its leadership position in defense markets while increasing its share in U.S. commercial and international markets. Sclater added that Brachos’ technical expertise, industry credibility and customer understanding make him “uniquely qualified” to lead the next phase of growth.
