Streamlight, Inc., a provider of high-performance lighting, has announced the introduction of new colors for its Wedge EDC slim pocket flashlight.
As reported by Streamlight, in addition to the existing black and coyote options, the flashlight is now available in blue, purple, and red.
This change aims to help users identify their flashlights more easily or to allow them to choose a color that suits their personal style.
The new models retain the features of the original Wedge, including a USB-C rechargeable battery and a thin, compact design suitable for deep pocket carry.
The Wedge features an intuitive rotating thumb switch with two modes: a 300-lumen “constant on” mode and a 1,000-lumen momentary THRO (Temporarily Heightened Regulated Output) mode.
The Wedge provides a 35-second burst of 1,000 lumens and 3,000 candela over a 110-meter beam distance in the THRO mode.
In “constant on” mode, it offers 300 lumens, 1,200 candela, a beam distance of 69 meters, and a run time of 3 hours.
According to Michael F. Dineen, Streamlight’s Chief Revenue Officer: “These new colors were developed for those who want to tell their personal lights apart from others on their team, or who just wish to express their personal style.
“Whatever the color, the Wedge provides extreme brightness and high-performance features that law enforcement, automotive, contractors, and other professionals have come to expect from Streamlight.”
The flashlight uses a 1500 mAh lithium polymer battery, which recharges via a USB-C cord plugged into the light’s waterproof charging port.
The device includes red and green LEDs to indicate charging status.
Constructed from rugged anodized aluminum, the Wedge measures 13.87 cm in length, 2.54 cm in height, and weighs 93.55 g.
It features a reversible pocket clip for concealed carry in either pocket.
The Wedge is IPX7-rated for waterproof operation up to one meter and has been impact-resistance tested to the same depth, ensuring it can withstand tough conditions.
