The SSPDS Integration Games concluded on Tuesday, December 3, following a series of competitions held across various venues in Ceará, Brazil.
Organized by the Ceará State Department of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS) in collaboration with affiliated agencies, the event promoted camaraderie and sportsmanship among public safety professionals.
During the opening ceremony on November 28 at the Integrated Public Security Center (CISP), Roberto Alzir Dias Chaves, executive secretary of Intelligence and Social Defense, highlighted the event’s goals: “One of the goals of this event is to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, but our main objective is to reinforce the spirit of integration and interconnection among the Security Forces agents.”
The games featured nine sports and concluded with a closing ceremony on December 3.
The Integration Games, held in celebration of Civil Servants’ Day, fostered collaboration among public safety teams.
Participating athletes contributed toys as part of their registration, supporting the Ceará Hunger-Free Christmas program.
Competitions began with a soccer match between the PM Women’s Soccer Society team and the SSPDS team.
A procession of athletes from various security forces opened the event, marching from the former SSPDS headquarters to CISP.
Civil police officer Érica Cavalcante expressed her thoughts: “It’s an opportunity to start a new team and participate in this moment of integration with the other Security Forces.”
The games featured various events, including Futsal, Table Tennis, and Master Football.
Futsal matches in men’s and women’s categories were held at the State Public Security Academy (AESP) gymnasium, where champions were crowned on December 3.
Table Tennis competitions took place at CISP, concluding on December 3 with winners named in individual and doubles categories.
Master Football and Futsal Society games were held at CISP Areninha, with final matches determining the champions.
On Saturday, November 30, additional events took place at Robson Barata Arena.
These included the Steel Server endurance race, featuring a 1 km run, 500 m swim, and strength exercises.
Other competitions included Beach Tennis, Beach Volleyball, and Chess.
Winners of these events were announced on-site after each match.
