Integration to streamline compliance reporting

According to ServiceTrade, the company has integrated its software platform with The Compliance Engine by BRYCER, a platform widely used by Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) agencies across the United States for fire system inspection compliance reporting.

ServiceTrade’s Chief Product Officer, Brook Bock, stated: “All commercial buildings are required to comply with National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and local regulations for equipment inspections and safety.

“BRYCER leads the market with its extensive network of hundreds of AHJs nationwide, helping fire protection contractors meet the specific requirements of each jurisdiction.”

The integration is intended to automate the reporting process, reducing the need for manual data entry while enabling contractors to meet compliance deadlines.

Benefits of integration for fire safety contractors

ServiceTrade has developed its platform to support the recurring nature of inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) work in the fire protection industry.

By integrating with BRYCER’s The Compliance Engine, ServiceTrade aims to simplify compliance workflows for contractors while enhancing operational accuracy.

Sheri Marler, Billing Supervisor at Marmic Fire & Safety, commented: “ServiceTrade and The Compliance Engine integration will transform our workflow by creating a seamless, automated system that eliminates manual uploads.

“This integration will not only save our team significant time, it will also enhance accuracy.”

Features of the integration include automated scheduling for ITM work, generating and submitting NFPA-compliant reports, and managing inspection deficiencies.

Increased compliance and reduced risks for AHJs and contractors

The Compliance Engine, known for its extensive network of connections to AHJs, assists contractors in meeting jurisdiction-specific requirements.

Bryan Schultz, co-founder of BRYCER, said: “Automating inspection reporting has been proven to increase the number of fire protection systems tested and repaired by as much as 72%.”

The partnership also aims to improve fire protection system compliance rates, benefiting contractors, building owners, and AHJs.

Schultz added that the integration supports timely inspections and simplifies the deficiency resolution process.

Enhanced workflows and inspection revenue opportunities

With features designed to improve efficiency and reduce liability risks, ServiceTrade’s platform allows contractors to streamline recurring inspections and testing processes.

Through the partnership with BRYCER, ServiceTrade offers tools to manage workflows, automate deficiency tracking, and maximize inspection revenue.

Bock emphasized the importance of the integration: “ServiceTrade helps contractors track inspection requirements, streamline workflows, and now simplify reporting via direct integration with The Compliance Engine.

“It’s a win for contractors and their clients by enabling more inspections to be scheduled, completed, and submitted to the AHJ on time.”
