The Seattle Fire Department held a promotional ceremony on July 24 at the Joint Training Facility (JTF).
The event, led by Fire Chief Harold Scoggins, aimed to promote several members to new ranks and introduce new hires to the department.
The new hires include Brandi Okano as an accountant in finance and Kaitlyn Scott as an administrative specialist in the Fire Prevention Division.
The department is excited to have these new members onboard as they bring their expertise and skills to the team.
Several professional staff members received promotions during the ceremony.
Franklin Gholston was promoted to administrative specialist in public disclosure, although he was not present at the ceremony.
Daniel Clark was promoted to fire boat engineer, although he was also not present at the event.
These promotions reflect the department’s recognition of their hard work and dedication.
Numerous firefighters were promoted to lieutenant and captain roles.
The new lieutenants include Adele Botha, Jasper Bourgette, Kody Hayes (not present), Caleb Hydahl (not present), Harrison Olswang, Mark Pedeferri, Daniel Quach, and Clifton Uyeno (not present).
The new captains are Kyle Green, Champ Hollingshad, and Matthew Reilly.
These promotions signify a step up in leadership roles and responsibilities within the department.
Timothy Dungan was promoted to battalion chief, while Jon Goins and John Harmon were promoted to deputy chiefs.
These promotions are part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership team and ensure effective management across all levels.
