Those involved included volunteers and Civil Defense coordinators from the municipalities of Itamonte, Itanhandú and Passa Quatro.
The training encompasses actions developed in partnership with Civil Defense as a preventative measure during the dry season and was structured in two stages.
The training was divided into two phases—theoretical and practical—with the goal of strengthening preventive actions during the dry season, in partnership with Civil Defense.
In the theoretical phase, participants received instruction on the main strategies and techniques for fighting fires in vegetation areas.
In the practical phase, firefighters were able to apply the knowledge acquired, focusing on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tool maintenance, firebreak construction and firefighting simulations in a real environment.
The activity is part of a set of civil protection and defense actions developed in collaboration with the Municipal Civil Protection and Defense Coordinators (Compdecs) of the municipalities served by the 3rd Platoon of the Military Fire Department of São Lourenço.
