Rosenbauer America has secured two orders from U.S. Navy Fire & Emergency Services for 10 medium-duty rescue vehicles, with the contracts valued at more than $5.3 million.
The vehicles, procured through the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Contract, are scheduled for delivery in fall 2027 and will support emergency response operations at Navy installations across the United States and overseas.
Built on Freightliner M2 106 two-door chassis, the rescue vehicles will feature Rosenbauer’s SMART CAB design, combining crew seating and equipment storage in a maneuverable medium-duty platform. Each unit will also include an auxiliary roof-mounted air conditioning system and a Rosenbauer FX 20-foot rescue body designed to carry a significant complement of SCBA and cylinders.
The vehicles are designed to help Navy emergency responders transport personnel and equipment while protecting military personnel, civilian employees, critical infrastructure, aircraft, ships, and facilities. U.S. Navy Fire & Emergency Services teams respond to incidents including structural fires, aircraft emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, technical rescues, and emergency medical calls.
