Rosenbauer America and Rocky Mountain Phoenix have announced the successful delivery and in-service training of two new Rosenbauer King Cobra aerials for Canmore Fire Rescue Services in Alberta and Gimli Fire & Rescue in Manitoba.
Training for both departments was completed in May 2026 under the leadership of Ernie Young, Western Regional Manager for Rosenbauer America. The hands-on instruction focused on aerial operations, apparatus functionality, firefighter safety and emergency scene performance.
Canmore Fire Rescue Services received its new 101-foot King Cobra aerial in early May 2026, followed by multi-day training involving 20 firefighters and operators.
Serving a mountain community of more than 17,000 residents and significant year-round tourism traffic, Canmore Fire Rescue responds to more than 850 emergency calls annually. These include structure fires, medical incidents, motor vehicle collisions, rescues, alarms, and bush and wildfire-related emergencies. The department also provides mutual aid assistance throughout the Bow Valley region, including Banff National Park, Kananaskis Country and the Municipal District of Bighorn.
Gimli Fire & Rescue also completed delivery and training of its new 101-foot King Cobra aerial in May 2026, with 12 firefighters participating in operational training.
Serving the Rural Municipality of Gimli on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, the department protects a growing residential and tourism-based community known for its marina, beaches, festivals and seasonal population increases. Gimli Fire & Rescue responds to structure fires, vehicle incidents, rescue operations, alarms, hazardous conditions and tourism-related emergency calls throughout the region.
Both Rosenbauer King Cobra aerials are equipped with integrated pumps and water tanks, enhancing fire suppression capability and operational flexibility for elevated rescue and fire attack operations.

The deliveries were coordinated through Rocky Mountain Phoenix, Rosenbauer’s authorized dealer partner for Western Canada. Sales representatives Rob Ross and Dale Savostianik worked closely with both departments throughout the specification, delivery and training process.
