Rosenbauer America is celebrating 16 years as the official fire truck provider for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
As reported by Rosenbauer America, this milestone highlights the enduring relationship between Rosenbauer, local dealer Heiman Fire Equipment, and the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department.
Roger Parker, Director of Sales at Rosenbauer America, said: “We are honored to be associated with such an iconic event and support the fire department who serves the community and visitors of the Black Hills area.
“I am always amazed at the number of firefighters I meet among the riders, as they make their way to Sturgis, SD.”
Over the past three years, Rosenbauer has provided a pumper/engine fire truck to the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department for year-round use.
This vehicle is the department’s primary apparatus for emergency calls.
Visitors to the Sturgis rally will see the Rosenbauer pumper/engine at the annual Mayor’s Ride on August 3, 2024, or stationed at the fire hall on 1901 Ballpark Rd., Sturgis, SD.
Chief Scott Lensegrav of the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department expressed gratitude: “We appreciate Rosenbauer and Heiman Fire’s support of the community through the year-round use of the Rosenbauer engine.
“We welcome folks to stop by, say hi, and check out our Rosenbauer fleet and facility.”
Rosenbauer America manufactures fire trucks at its facilities in Wyoming, MN; Fremont, NE; and Lyons, SD.
The company serves communities across the United States and Canada, with vehicles also deployed internationally.
Kari Bauer, Director of HR at Rosenbauer America, commented: “We are a global company with strong ties to South Dakota, employing over 300 South Dakotans at our Lyons, SD facility.
“Our team is made up of hard-working men and women who build the finest custom fire trucks.
“We all take pride in the fact that these fire trucks are going to communities where they support those who save lives and protect property.”
Team members from Rosenbauer America and Heiman Fire Equipment will be present at the 84th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
They look forward to celebrating with both locals and visitors.
