The Rocky Mount Fire Department will be competing in a Field Day Showdown against the Rocky Mount Police Department, in a competition of basketball, volleyball, pickleball and dodgeball- all to raise funds for the American Heart Association.
The event will be hosted by the Rocky Mount Event Center, in North Carolina, who recently celebrated being named one of the Top 3 Volleyball Facilities in the US by SportsEvents Magazine.
The Field Day Showdown will take place on the 22 August 2025.
Admission will be $2.00 at the door, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the American Heart Association, an organization that supports research, education and advocacy for heart disease and strokes.
Michael Roupp, Assistant Chief of Administrative and Planning for the Rocky Mount Fire Department shared: “The Rocky Mount Fire Department has a rich history of competitiveness, whether it is among our fire family or against other departments/organizations.
“With that said, I can firmly say that the Rocky Mount Fire Department to participation in the American Heart Walk’s Fundraiser Field Day!
