Pierce Manufacturing has marked the midpoint of its 2026 Road Rally, a multi-month tour giving fire departments across North America hands-on access to the company’s latest fire apparatus and onboard technologies.
The Oshkosh Corporation business said the Road Rally, which began in late April, has completed 20 stops across Illinois, Missouri, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi. Events are hosted with authorized Pierce dealers and allow firefighters and department leaders to drive, operate and evaluate Pierce fire apparatus in real-world settings.
“The response to this year’s Road Rally has been outstanding,” said Marty Bass, president of Pierce Manufacturing. “We’ve welcomed both longtime Pierce customers and departments experiencing our apparatus for the first time. The opportunity to get behind the wheel, operate aerial devices and engage directly with our team creates meaningful conversations that help departments evaluate solutions while providing us with valuable customer feedback.”
Apparatus featured during the tour include the Enforcer Ascendant 100-foot Heavy-Duty Aerial Tower, Enforcer Ascendant 107-foot Heavy-Duty Aerial Ladder, Enforcer Top Mount PUC Pumper, Enforcer Heavy-Duty Rescue Pumper and Saber Pumpers. Attendees have also evaluated technologies including TAK-4 T3 Tight Turning Technology and ClearSky Intelligence Connected Solutions.
According to Pierce, participant feedback has focused on apparatus performance, maneuverability and visibility. Firefighters highlighted the smooth operation of the Enforcer Ascendant 100-foot Heavy-Duty Aerial Tower, the turning radius and handling offered by TAK-4 T3 technology, and the visibility advantages of the Enforcer Top Mount PUC Pumper.
Bass added that local Pierce customers in several communities have supported the events by displaying recently delivered apparatus alongside the Road Rally vehicles, giving attendees insight into configurations and technologies already serving neighboring departments.
The tour will continue through the summer, with upcoming stops planned across Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky. Pierce said the remaining events will offer further opportunities for departments to meet company experts and experience advanced fire apparatus firsthand.
