The Military Fire Department of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CBMERJ) has launched the “Safety that prevents” program, with a presentation and strategic alignment focused on planning promotional activities for 2026.
The meeting took place at the General Command Headquarters, bringing together representatives from various areas of the corporation and partner institutions.
The event marked the kick-off of actions foreseen in the Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT), focusing on prevention, promotion of mental health and valuing life.
The first initiatives will be implemented in specialized groups, such as the Maritime Group (GMar) and the Special Operations Group (GOEsp).
In addition to the General Directorate of Community Actions (DGAC), which will also act through the corpse removal service.
Present were the commanders of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Maritime Groups, as well as representatives from the six sections of the Firefighter Assistance Centers (CBAs).
Also participating were Colonel BM6 Cel Pierro, teams from the program’s focal points and the prosecutor from the Labor Public Ministry, Dr. Cynthia Maria Lopes, as well as members of the Institute for Research, Prevention and Studies on Suicide (IPPES).
During the meeting, guidelines, responsibilities and strategies for integrated action among the sectors involved were presented, reinforcing the institutional commitment to prevention and care for the staff.
The initiative highlights the importance of structured and continuous actions focused on the health and well-being of military personnel.
Strengthening the performance of the CBMERJ (Rio de Janeiro State Military Fire Department) not only in emergencies, but also in protecting life in all its dimensions.
