REV Specialty Vehicles Segment names new leadership for fire apparatus manufacturing

REV Specialty Vehicles Segment, which oversees the creation of fire apparatus through its subsidiaries, has officially announced the appointment of Collis Heath as vice president and general manager for its Holden facility.

This site is known for the design and manufacturing of Ferrara and KME fire apparatus.

Heath’s new role will have him reporting directly to Mike Virnig, president of REV Specialty Vehicles Segment.

Heath brings to the table a wealth of experience from various leadership positions across multiple industries.

His resume includes time as director of operations at Watts Water Technologies and roles as COO and vice president of supply chain and operations at Pro-Vigil Surveillance Services, a subsidiary of The Riverside Company.

Heath also held significant positions in manufacturing and supply chain management with prominent companies like Foxconn, Sony, General Electric, Be Green Packaging, and Avigilon.

A seasoned leader for Ferrara and KME brands

Mike Virnig praised Heath’s appointment, highlighting his broad expertise and leadership qualities.

“Collis is a versatile and transformational leader with a proven record in rapid growth initiatives ensuring measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction while reducing costs,” Virnig said.

He expressed confidence in Heath’s ability to drive the Ferrara and KME brands forward, capitalizing on his history of operational success.

Heath’s educational and professional background

Heath is not only experienced in the field but also well-educated, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University.

He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has Lean Manufacturing certifications, underscoring his commitment to operational excellence.

Furthermore, Heath’s professional development is well-rounded, having participated in training programs with Dale Carnegie and General Electric, preparing him for this new challenge at the Holden facility.
