Global wireless life safety solutions provider Ramtech has announced a strategic expansion into the US West Coast as part of its North American growth strategy, appointing Andrew Koch as business development manager for the region.
The expansion follows the successful integration of Ramtech’s logistics hub in Charlotte, North Carolina, which the company said has strengthened its ability to serve growing demand for fire safety solutions across the United States.
Andrew Koch will lead Ramtech’s West Coast push into key markets including Phoenix, with a focus on the construction, industrial and marine sectors.
The company is also strengthening its regional footprint through partnerships with major systems integrators, including a new contract with Convergint and an expanded collaboration with The Hiller Companies. Ramtech said its existing success working with Hiller’s marine division is now being extended into broader commercial operations.
James Pecz, vice president at Ramtech North America, said the company’s Charlotte investment was designed to create the operational foundation needed to challenge traditional fire safety approaches.
“Our investment in Charlotte was never just about a new office; it was about building the operational backbone required to disrupt a market that has relied on ‘minimum code’ fire safety for too long.
“We’ve proven the model on the East Coast, and with Andrew leading our West Coast expansion, we are now positioned to deliver that same level of high-velocity, localized support to the most complex projects in the country.”
Koch said the West Coast construction market is increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional fire safety systems.
“The West Coast market is at a turning point where traditional safety methods are no longer keeping pace with the scale and speed of modern construction. There is clear momentum, particularly in California, for smarter, wireless solutions that don’t just meet code but actually improve site efficiency.
“I’m looking forward to leveraging Ramtech’s established foundations to help our partners solve these complex fire safety challenges across the region.”
To support deployment across temporary construction environments, Ramtech said it is continuing to expand its North American partner network, including collaborations with RTI Systems, BCI Integrated Solutions and Pacific Western Fire Protection.
The company said the combined strategy of logistics infrastructure, regional partnerships and sector expertise positions its North American business as a major growth driver for parent company Orama Group.
The expansion coincides with the release of the revised 2026 edition of Ramtech’s “No Site Left Behind” whitepaper, which explores changing fire safety awareness and regulatory trends across the United States.
