The Quito Metropolitan District Fire Department, in Quito, Ecuador, held the Quito Firefighters Expo Fair, a participatory and experiential event with the community that took place on Saturday, 26 April 2025, in Bicentennial Park.
The fair, aimed at children and adults, aimed to bring the community closer to the work carried out by the Quito Fire Department.
During the event, the public were able to see the Quito Fire Department’s emergency vehicles, equipment and tools up close, participate in virtual reality activities, climb a training wall and share hands-on experiences with operational personnel.
In addition, they participated in educational sessions on forest fire prevention and had the chance to learn about safety, prevention and emergency response.
This initiative is part of the institutional commitment and community outreach and is a tribute to the work and dedication of the operational, technical and administrative staff of the Quito Fire Department.
