Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired AAA Fire Extinguisher Co., a Lubbock, Texas-based fire protection business, in a move aimed at expanding the company’s fire suppression and life safety service capabilities in West Texas.
Pye-Barker, which describes itself as the largest fully integrated fire protection, life safety and security services provider in the United States, said the acquisition strengthens its operational presence in the region and broadens service offerings for customers in Texas.
AAA Fire Extinguisher Co., also known as AFA, Inc., specializes in the inspection and servicing of portable fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems and kitchen hood systems. The company provides installation, inspection and maintenance services for restaurants, schools and commercial kitchens.

Deal compliments West Texas fire suppression operations
Pye-Barker said the acquisition complements its existing operations in West Texas, where services have primarily focused on fire alarm and security work. The company said the acquisition follows other nearby security and fire alarm acquisitions completed in 2024 and 2025 as part of its strategy to build a more integrated service network across the region.
Pye-Barker said AAA’s technicians will continue serving customers across Texas following completion of the transaction.
