According to Pye-Barker, the company has acquired Sonitrol New England, a provider of security and fire alarm services in Connecticut and Rhode Island.
This acquisition adds two new branches to Pye-Barker’s portfolio: one in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and another in Riverside, Rhode Island, marking Pye-Barker’s first Rhode Island location and furthering its presence in the Northeast.
Sonitrol New England serves a range of clients in New England, including businesses, schools, government buildings, and healthcare facilities.
The company designs, installs, and maintains systems such as fire detection, intrusion detection, video surveillance, panic buttons, access control, and emergency communication.
Founded in 1972 by Doug Curtiss, Sonitrol New England has a long-standing presence in the security industry, providing the latest security technology and comprehensive training for its staff.
The company transmits alarm data to emergency responders, aiming to deliver rapid, accurate service for its clients across New England.
Curtiss expressed that this acquisition allows Sonitrol New England to add fire protection services to its offerings and enhance career development for employees while preserving its local service approach.
