Pye-Barker Fire & Safety hits No. 3 on SDM 100 after 22 acquisitions in first half of 2026

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has continued its rapid expansion in 2026, completing 22 acquisitions in the first half of the year and rising to No. 3 on the latest SDM 100 ranking.

The SDM 100 ranks U.S. companies by revenue from the sale, installation, service and monitoring of electronic security systems. Pye-Barker also climbed three places to become the seventh-largest company on SDM’s Top Systems Integrators list, which ranks firms by North American revenue from security system integration projects.

The company said its acquisition strategy has been a major driver of growth. Pye-Barker has acquired more than 100 companies over the past two years and now serves customers across 47 states. The company is also marking its 80th anniversary and has more than 9,000 team members nationwide.

Among the companies that joined Pye-Barker in the first half of 2026 were CSI, Philadelphia Detection Systems, Low Volt Ninja, AAA Fire Extinguisher Co., APS Corporation, Fire Protection Specialists, ResponseTECH, Southland Fire and Safety Equipment, and Hartford Sprinkler Co.
