LION Safety Solutions has secured the contract to oversee personal protective equipment (PPE) care and maintenance for the City of Philadelphia Fire Department, according to LION Safety Solutions.
Under this agreement, LION TotalCare will perform routine cleaning, inspections, and repairs in alignment with NFPA 1851 standards.
These efforts aim to maximize the durability and safety of firefighting gear while maintaining compliance with national regulations.
The Wilmington, Delaware facility will handle the Philadelphia Fire Department’s PPE maintenance needs.
This location is part of LION’s established network of service centers and utilizes RedZone CO₂ technology, which reportedly removes 98% of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
LION stated that this cleaning process enhances firefighter safety while being environmentally sustainable.
The facility also specializes in meticulous PPE repairs to maintain optimal gear performance.
