The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has shared its collaboration with the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC).
This partnership aims to provide US propane professionals with expanded, real-time access to the recently enhanced NFPA LiNK platform, NFPA’s digital resource for codes and standards information.
With this collaboration comes a new single sign-on (SSO) capability, helping propane professionals navigate seamlessly from their PERC Learning Center dashboard directly into NFPA LiNK.
By streamlining the user experience and eliminating separate sign-on or subscription barriers, NFPA and PERC are ensuring that safety information is available to industry professionals exactly when and where they need it.
Kyle Spencer, Director of NFPA LiNK commented: “In an industry where safety requirements are shifting constantly, having access to the latest information is mission-critical.
“Our collaboration with PERC directly addresses this challenge.
“By integrating NFPA LiNK into the PERC Learning Center, we are putting essential standards like NFPA 54 and NFPA 58 directly at the fingertips of the professionals who need them the most, ensuring they have the tools to operate safely and efficiently every day.”
This initiative is designed to support field technicians, safety directors and other industry professionals whose daily work depends on the accurate application of NFPA standards.
By providing a direct digital bridge to these codes, NFPA and PERC’s collaboration aims to:
Eric Kuster, PERC’s Senior Vice President of Safety, Education and Compliance added: “Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do at PERC and providing our workforce with the best possible tools is a top priority.
“By integrating NFPA LiNK directly into our Learning Center, we are removing barriers to essential information.
“This ensures that propane technicians and marketers have access to the most up-to-date safety codes, fostering a more informed and safer industry.”
NFPA recently announced a major milestone update to NFPA LiNK, helping safety professionals make faster, smarter decisions as they work with NFPA guidelines in their day-to-day responsibilities.
With these enhancements, NFPA introduced an AI-powered assistant, CASI (Codes and Standards Intelligence), to help professionals generate rapid citations and summarize codes and standards information all with a simple prompt.
Other features of the enhanced NFPA LiNK includes intelligent project Notebooks and a redesigned dashboard.
