The Nashville Fire Department, in collaboration with the BLAZE Mentoring Program, will hold a Back-to-School Giveaway event on Friday, July 26, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the NFD Headquarters.
The event, which is open to the public, aims to provide youth and families with an afternoon of fun and community engagement.
As reported by the Nashville Fire Department, free backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to help children prepare for the upcoming school year.
The giveaway event has been made possible through the support of the First Responders Children’s Foundation, which has generously donated the backpacks and school supplies.
Additionally, local Target stores have contributed items for students and provided snacks, while Chick-Fil-A Nashville (Church Street) will supply food for attendees.
Box 55 is also contributing by providing drinks to keep everyone hydrated.
The sponsors’ dedication to community outreach and engagement has been pivotal in organizing this event.
The Nashville Fire Department expressed gratitude for their unwavering support in making the giveaway possible.
Attendees can expect special appearances from the Tennessee Titans’ mascot T-Rac and the Nashville Soccer Club’s mascot Tempo.
They will provide entertainment and photo opportunities for children and families.
It is important to note that children must be present to receive a backpack.
This policy ensures that resources are allocated to those who need them most.
Families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
