MSA and DuPont’s 2025 Globe Gear Giveaway announced

February 19, 2025

MSA Safety, DuPont Personal Protection and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) have teamed up to provide personal protective equipment to volunteer fire departments in need through MSA and DuPont’s Globe Gear Giveaway.

Proper gear is essential to the safety, health and effectiveness of firefighters, yet many volunteer fire departments struggle to find the funding for up-to-date turnout gear.

In 2025, the program will provide 13 volunteer fire departments across the U.S. and Canada with four sets of Globe turnout gear and four MSA Cairns helmets each, for a total of 52 jackets, 52 pants and 52 helmets distributed to help protect first responders.

In addition, the first 500 applicants will receive a complimentary NVFC membership, courtesy of MSA Safety.

Chair, National Volunteer Fire Council, Steve Hirsch’s statement

NVFC Chair, Steve Hirsch said: “Volunteer fire departments are the backbone of their communities, but many face financial barriers when it comes to obtaining needed PPE.

“Through this partnership with MSA and DuPont, we’re able to help equip firefighters with the gear they need to do their jobs more safely and effectively. We’re proud to have collaborated on this program for over a decade.”
