Frontline Communications has delivered a custom C-45X-4 mobile command vehicle to Louisville-Jefferson County Emergency Management for use in multi-agency operations and emergency coordination.
The division of Pierce Manufacturing announced the delivery of the next generation command vehicle through its dealer Atlantic Emergency Solutions.
The unit is scheduled for prominent display at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) 2026 in Indianapolis within the Pierce Manufacturing booth.
Louisville selected the manufacturer following a competitive evaluation process focused on specialty vehicle market experience and product quality.
Jody Meiman Louisville-Jefferson County Emergency Management Executive Director said: “Our new mobile emergency operations center gives us a place to bring people together when we’re managing something big—whether that’s a scheduled event or an emergency.
“Instead of everyone trying to coordinate from different spots, we can get in one room and get on the same page.”
The mobile command unit is built on an International HV607 chassis and utilizes a Cummins L9 450 HP engine.
Integrated systems include an Extron NAV Pro AV-over-IP System for high-resolution audio and video delivery over IP networks.
Connectivity is maintained through a high-performance 5G edge router featuring integrated Starlink satellite technology.
The vehicle employs Ubiquiti UniFi Network Infrastructure to provide secure network performance.
Power management and monitoring are handled by the Command Zone advanced electrical system.
A JPS Modular Interoperability Gateway enables cross-band radio interoperability and secure communications integration.
The HiViz Connect Warning Light system integrates with the electrical system for advanced control of warning lights.
Meiman added: “Louisville will house and maintain the vehicle so it’s always ready, but the real value comes from how often we train with it.
“By using it regularly in exercises and drills, our teams build the muscle memory and confidence they need—so when a real incident happens, the unit feels familiar, our roles are clear and we can get to work immediately.”
The mobile command center is intended to improve response times and information sharing during emergencies across public safety disciplines.
Adrian Doleman Frontline Communications and Atlantic Emergency Solutions Regional Account Manager representative said: “Specialty resources like this are built to perform when incidents are at their most complex and demanding.
“We’re proud to support the Louisville team.”
