Owner, Lindy Lu’s Kitchen, Lindy Xenidis’ statement

Lindy Xenidis commented: “During the COVID-19 pandemic, we started ‘Hero Drops,’ a program where we fed hundreds of frontline workers.

“Now, with these wildfires devastating our communities, we’re once again focused on feeding the heroes risking their lives to keep us safe.

“We’ve witnessed the exhaustion these firefighters are facing firsthand. When we drop off meals, their faces light up.

“We hand-deliver meals to fire stations, making sure they have easy grab-and-go options. It’s one less thing for them to worry about during their grueling shifts.”

The community has responded in full force, with donations pouring in from across the country. Xenidis spoke of the impact: “The support has been incredible.

“We’ve received countless thank yous from fire departments and it’s heartwarming to know our efforts are making a difference.”
