Leader Group has acquired Canadian manufacturer Mercedes Textiles as part of its ongoing strategy to broaden its firefighting and rescue equipment offering and strengthen its presence in North America.
The deal brings Mercedes Textiles’ fire hose, fittings, and portable pump capabilities into Leader Group’s international portfolio, adding further capacity in equipment designed for municipal, industrial, military, and wildland firefighting operations.
The company said the acquisition reflects the growing complexity of emergency response, including wildfire incidents, industrial risks, and extreme weather events, which are driving demand for more efficient and complementary equipment.

With the addition of Mercedes Textiles, Leader Group said it is moving closer to a full-service portfolio for fire and rescue organizations.
The group said it can now provide solutions across the operational chain, including fluorine-free foam concentrates, firefighting nozzles and monitors, ventilators, search and rescue equipment, portable pumps, and high-performance fire hoses.
Leader Group said the acquisition confirms its international growth ambitions and supports its goal of supplying emergency services worldwide with a more complete and innovative range of solutions.
