The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) has spotlighted the Los Bomberos de Los Angeles County Association for their community and charitable work throughout Los Angeles County.
Since its founding in August 2023, Los Bomberos de Los Angeles County Association has worked to make a positive impact in the community by providing financial assistance to those facing hardships, mentoring youth to become strong leaders and recruiting and guiding future firefighters.
Led by LACoFD Fire Captain Steve Vargas and Fire Fighter Enrique Rodriguez, the association uplifts and celebrates Hispanic team members who contribute and provide services to the more than four million residents the Department protects.
They also share safety information and resources in a culturally and linguistically inclusive manner to Spanish-speaking communities.
Each day, Los Bomberos de Los Angeles County strives to uphold their motto, “empowering communities and transforming lives through support and mentorship.”
The LACoFD said in a statement of the Los Bomberos de LA: “As they work to expand their charitable and community-focused efforts, they highlight the critical role of representation and mentorship within fire agencies”.
