The County of Los Angeles Fire Department (LACoFD) has announced that Brian D. Kane has been promoted to Assistant Fire Chief.
Assistant Fire Chief Brian D. Kane is assigned to Division I.
The LACoFD said Kane has faithfully served the Department for over 25 years, since beginning his career as a firefighter.
Chief Kane shared: “Communications and relationship building are the foundation of success, especially in a leadership role like Assistant Fire Chief.
“A promotion to this position is not just about overseeing emergency operations – it is about upholding the Department’s core values, fostering strong rapport, and seamless communication within and with the community we serve.”
The LACoFD added: “Chief Kane’s years of fire service experience, impactful contributions and commitment to public service have shaped his readiness to succeed in this new position.”
