It adds that undocumented field modifications can cause delays when revised drawings have not been submitted for review.
Poor wire management, unclear device labelling and improper mounting were also identified as recurring inspection issues.
JEM Systems stated that installers are responsible for following engineered drawings without deviation and for keeping redline documentation up to date through the project.
The guidance says devices should be clearly labelled and installation work should remain orderly.
It also says equipment used on site should match approved submittals.
Installers are advised to review the full submittal package before work begins and keep records accurate through the installation process.
The company also recommends avoiding undocumented field changes and raising any compliance questions with suppliers.
It said inspection expectations can vary between jurisdictions, making local Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements an important part of project planning.
JEM Systems said it works with installers during design, installation and inspection, including plan production, revisions for field changes, code-compliant equipment supply and direct coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction where needed.
