IAFC opens applications for committee positions to enhance organizational direction

The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) President has announced an open call for applications to fill several committee vacancies.

These committees play a pivotal role in guiding the IAFC’s future through expert analysis, report generation, and strategic recommendations.

Committee vacancies and application process

The IAFC has listed several committee openings for immediate filling, including the Communications Committee, Hazardous Materials, Human Relations, Terrorism and Homeland Security, Urban Search and Rescue, and Wildland Fire Policy.

Interested applicants must be current IAFC members and are encouraged to submit a letter of interest tailored to specific questions outlined by the IAFC.

These questions aim to gauge the applicant’s suitability, innovative capabilities, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity.

The application process also requires a detailed resume highlighting qualifications relevant to the desired committee position.
