Holmatro has shared that is will be hosting its third international Holmatro Rescue Challenge at INTERSCHUTZ 2026.
Teams from across the world will complete to rescue a trapped ‘live victim’ from modern vehicles, using Holmatro rescue equipment.
Registrations are now open for firefighters and rescuers worldwide who would like to be involved in the Rescue Challenge.
Holmatro has highlighted how the aim of its Rescue Challenge is to facilitate a safe learning environment for first responders and firefighters.
Before they get to work, the teams will receive instructions on how to use Holmatro’s rescue equipment and how to free trapped victims. Each team will be monitored and evaluated by experienced assessors.
The teams will be challenged to respond to a unique vehicle extrication scenario, where they will be using the advanced next-gen Pentheon rescue tools to free the victim within 20 minutes.
The assessors will judge each team not only on tool use techniques, but also on criteria such as medical assessment, patient handling and on-scene communication.
At the end of the Holmatro Rescue Challenge the winners will be announced during the Award Ceremony. There will be prizes for the Best Overall Team, the Best Technical Team and the Best Team Spirit.
