Henry Schein Medical announces participation in FDIC International 2024

On April 8, 2024, Henry Schein Medical, the U.S. medical business segment of Henry Schein, Inc., revealed its plans to participate in the upcoming 2024 Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) International.

The event is set to occur from April 15 to 20, 2024, in Indianapolis.

Henry Schein Medical’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team will be available at booth #223, showcasing a wide array of equipment, technology solutions, and services aimed at augmenting efficiencies for first responders while they continue to deliver critical services to communities.

Innovations in mobile integrated health and community paramedicine

Dan O’Connell, General Manager of Henry Schein Medical EMS, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the evolution of the EMS industry through advanced mobile integrated health (MIH) solutions, lab testing, imaging, and other community-based care models.

O’Connell, stating the company’s enthusiasm for FDIC International, highlighted: “Our team, many of whom started their careers as field medics, is pleased to once again attend FDIC International to engage and enhance our relationships with Fire and EMS professionals.

Throughout the conference, Henry Schein Medical will present demonstrations of several products, including handheld and portable diagnostic analyzers like the Abbott i-STAT 1 and the Piccolo Xpress, as well as the GE HealthCare Vscan Air™ ultrasound and the Masimo Rad-57® Pulse CO-Oximeter®.

Additionally, the event will provide opportunities for EMS professionals to discuss point-of-care testing, telemedicine platforms like Medpod, and other laboratory solutions that facilitate rapid, in-field decision-making.

A comprehensive look at emergency medical supplies

Visitors to the Henry Schein Medical booth will also have the chance to explore a variety of emergency medical supplies.
