Fortis Fire & Safety has announced the acquisition of Integrated Fire and Security Solutions (IFSS) and Diversified Systems Inc. (DSI), as reported by Fortis Fire & Safety.
IFSS, based in Ft. Myers, FL, operates branches in Tampa, Miami, Orlando, and Tallahassee.
DSI, based in Raleigh, NC, has been part of IFSS since October 2021.
This family-owned business, led by managing partner John Peterson and grown by Justin Peterson, Jesus Carias, and John Sartori, has provided fire alarm and integrated security systems for over 18 years.
Justin Peterson will continue as President of IFSS, while John and Jesus will oversee DSI and Miami operations, respectively.
Justin Peterson will also join the Fortis Owners’ Advisory Council.

The acquisition aligns with Fortis’ strategy of building multi-regional capabilities and expands their presence in Florida.
The integration of IFSS with existing Florida-based Fortis brands, LifeSafety Management and Piper Fire Protection, will provide customers with a comprehensive range of fire and life safety systems.
This move enhances Fortis’ ability to offer a full spectrum of services across the state.
