The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has announced that it will participate in the Congressional Fire Services Institute’s (CFSI) 35th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Symposium and Dinner on February 12-13 in Washington, DC.
During the event, NVFC representatives will meet with members of Congress to discuss legislative priorities.
These meetings are part of broader advocacy efforts involving CFSI’s National Advisory Committee, which includes over 30 national fire service organizations.
According to NVFC, representatives will present key policy concerns to lawmakers during the meetings.

The symposium will conclude with the National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner at the Marriott Marquis ballroom.
The event will include remarks from members of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus and administration officials.
During the dinner, four awards will be presented for contributions to fire and emergency services.
