The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced the dates for this year’s Drone and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Symposium.
Scheduled from July 30 to August 1, the event will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, Maryland.
The symposium aims to continue the safe integration of drones and advanced air mobility aircraft, such as air taxis, into the National Airspace System, while also establishing a regulatory framework to hasten advanced operations.
This year’s symposium, themed “Connected Skies / Connected Communities,” will include various sessions and workshops.
These will cover the ongoing integration of drones and the operational frameworks needed to support advanced activities like beyond visual line of sight operations and UAS Traffic Management (UTM).
Additionally, there will be discussions on the transformation of aviation through the use of air taxis and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The event is set to gather a diverse group of participants including FAA representatives, other governmental agencies, members from AIRT, DRONERESPONDERS, international aviation experts, industry leaders, and academia.
These stakeholders will explore the latest advancements and information concerning the versatile applications of drones and the seamless integration of AAM into aviation systems.
