DripDrop Hydration PBC and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) have donated 200,000 sticks of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix to volunteer fire departments across the United States through the 2026 DripDrop Hydration Giveaway Campaign.
The annual initiative supported 1,332 departments in 49 states, providing hydration resources intended to help firefighters manage dehydration risks during summer heat, wildfire response and other demanding operating conditions.
Firefighters operating in high-temperature environments can face increased dehydration risks while wearing heavy gear, carrying equipment and responding to extended incidents. Dehydration can reduce performance and contribute to health complications including dizziness, heat stroke and heart attack.
NVFC Chair Steve Hirsch said: “Proper hydration is a critical need for firefighter health and safety. These responders are wearing heavy gear, carrying hefty equipment, and working in high temperature environments. We are grateful for the continued support of DripDrop to ensure departments with limited resources and funding can support the health and safety of their members through proper hydration.”

Since the program began in 2020, nearly 3 million servings of DripDrop have been donated to volunteer fire departments. In 2026, departments received up to two cases of DripDrop depending on department size and whether they received a donation in 2025.
Although the 2026 donation campaign has closed, NVFC members can still receive a 20% discount on purchases of $30 or more at DripDrop.com by accessing the discount code through the NVFC member portal.
