Colombia’s National Fire Department (DNBC) has continued a tour of the country, visiting Armenia, Antioquia, as a part of their mission to provide support and supervision to volunteer fire departments to ensure their optimal functioning.
Recently, they visited the municipality of Armenia, Antioquia, where the team carried out a detailed verification of the operation of the Volunteer Fire Department and offered legal support for the signing of the agreement with the municipal administration.
The DNBC said their work is essential to ensure that volunteer fire brigades have the technical, operational and legal conditions necessary to respond to emergencies effectively.
During the visit, the DNBC said they found that the Volunteer Fire Department of Armenia, Antioquia, is active and in full emergency response capacity.
In addition, within the framework of this accompaniment, the DNBC established an improvement plan with the aim of optimizing the service and strengthening the operational capacity of the institution.
The team stated how the call was reiterated to the municipal administration to urgently sign the agreement that will allow the transfer of essential resources for the provision of the Fire Service.
In a statement the DNBC said: “The visit reaffirms our commitment to strengthening volunteer fire departments across the country, ensuring they are prepared, equipped and legally supported to fulfill their mission of protecting the community. We are still in the territory, working for a solid and efficient firefighter system.
