Darley has been named a 2025 Chicagoland Top Workplace by the Chicago Tribune, the company has announced.
The company reported the recognition on Friday 7 November 2025 from Itasca, Illinois.
The award reflects workplace performance among employers in the wider Chicago area.
Darley stated that the Chicagoland Top Workplace recognition is based on an employee survey administered by Energage.
According to the company, Energage is a third-party employee engagement technology firm that conducts the assessment independently.
The company said the survey is confidential to encourage open and direct employee responses.
Darley reported that the Energage survey measures how employees feel respected and supported.
The company added that the survey also examines whether employees feel enabled to grow in their roles.
According to Darley, another area covered is how empowered employees feel to execute their work effectively.
Darley said the recognition reflects feedback from its workforce across the business.
Paul Darley, President and CEO of Darley, said: “Being named a Chicagoland Top Workplace by the Chicago Tribune is a tremendous honor because it reflects the voices of our employees,”
“At Darley, we strive to foster a culture where every team member feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow.”
“This recognition affirms that our people-first approach is making a meaningful impact.”
For procurement officers in fire departments and emergency services organizations, supplier stability and workforce continuity can affect long-term equipment support.
Darley has linked its Top Workplace status to confidential survey findings on respect, support and empowerment for employees.
Those criteria indicate that the award is based on internal employee experience rather than external branding.
Emergency and disaster response managers who rely on defense, fire and emergency services equipment may track how key suppliers handle employee engagement.
A supplier recognized through employee surveys for enabling growth and execution may be better positioned to retain skilled staff in technical, service and logistics roles.
For senior officers and purchasing teams, workplace-focused awards can form part of a wider view of vendor resilience alongside product performance, pricing and contract terms.
