September 17, 2024

Cres Cor announces new Canadian partner for decontamination units

As reported by Cres Cor, Cres Cor Health & Safety has announced a new partnership with Canadian Safety Equipment, Inc. to distribute its Cres Guard biological decontamination units in Canada.

Canadian Safety Equipment, established in 1990, initially focused on distributing products for fire, police, and EMS services in Ontario.

The company later expanded to cover Francophone markets in Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick.

The partnership aligns with Cres Cor’s mission to improve the safety of first responders.

Yogesh Ramadoss, Product Marketing Manager at Cres Cor Health & Safety, said: “Canadian Safety Equipment has an excellent reputation in the Fire, Police, and EMS across Canada and aligns with Cres Cor’s mission of keeping first responders safe.”

Cres Guard technology offers chemical-free decontamination

Cres Guard is designed to decontaminate first responders’ equipment in a 15-minute chemical-free cycle.

The units utilize moist heat to sanitize structural firefighting gear, helmets, SCBAs, bulletproof vests, and more.

Cres Guard has been positively received across the United States by fire, police, and military responders.

Recently, Cres Cor introduced the Cres Guard UVC + Heat version, which is suited for moisture-sensitive electronics like laptops and radios, ensuring that these items are safely decontaminated without damage.

Partnership supports response to health hazards

The demand for decontamination products such as Cres Guard has grown due to increasing concerns about exposure to biological hazards, including flu, COVID-19, and MRSA.

With more than 80% of emergency calls related to medical incidents, the risk of contamination for first responders is high.

Cres Cor’s decontamination units are designed to minimize these risks, offering a fast and efficient solution for departments across North America.

The partnership with Canadian Safety Equipment aims to enhance the safety of responders across the country by providing access to these units.

Canadian Safety Equipment’s history of growth

Founded in Ontario, Canadian Safety Equipment has expanded its reach over the years.

Its subsidiary, CSE Incendie et Securite, was formed to cover the Francophone markets.

Despite economic challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has maintained its growth, becoming a leading distributor for fire, police, and EMS services in Canada.

This partnership will enhance Cres Cor’s presence in the Canadian market, leveraging the distribution network established by Canadian Safety Equipment.
