Classic Fire + Life Safety has been named the fire and life safety partner for the $898 million Prince Albert Victoria Hospital redevelopment project (PAVH) in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
As reported by Classic Fire + Life Safety, the project, led by general contractor PCL Construction, is one of Western Canada’s largest healthcare construction efforts.
The redevelopment includes a multi-story acute care tower, which will expand the hospital’s capacity by 40 percent, addressing healthcare needs for Saskatchewan’s northern population.
Classic Fire + Life Safety, in collaboration with Pow City Mechanical, is responsible for installing fire protection systems across the hospital.
This installation includes a range of systems, such as wet, dry, special hazard, and foam systems.
Matthew Neil, Director of Operations for Western Canada at Classic, emphasized the importance of the work, stating: “We are grateful and honored to have been selected as a partner for this flagship project.”
Additional contributions to the project include engineered drawings and materials delivery from Northern Sprinkler Design and APEX Fabrication & Supply, both part of the Classic group of companies.

Installation for the fire protection systems began in the summer of 2024.
