Chattanooga’s custom pumpers to enhance fire department capabilities

According to Spartan Emergency Response, the Chattanooga Fire Department in Tennessee has placed an order for 10 custom pumpers to modernize its fleet.

This decision was made in collaboration with Spartan and its authorized dealer, Atlantic Coast Fire Trucks.

The order includes two custom pumpers, four squad pumpers, and four S-180 Model 2114 pumpers.

These additions aim to replace aging vehicles and accommodate Chattanooga’s growing operational needs.

Features of the S-180 pumpers

The four S-180 pumpers come equipped with Spartan Metro Star EMFD 10-inch RR chassis and Cummins L9 450 horsepower engines.

Each unit features a Waterous CSU 1500 GPM pump, a 750-gallon water tank, and a hard hose bed cover.

Additional specifications include ROM roll-up doors and a front bumper discharge.

These configurations are tailored to deliver efficient performance for various emergency response scenarios in Chattanooga.

Squad pumpers optimized for rescue operations

The four squad pumpers in this order feature Spartan Gladiator EMFD 10-inch RR chassis with Cummins X12 500 horsepower engines.

These vehicles are designed for high-capacity operations, including a Waterous CSU 2000 GPM pump and a 500-gallon water tank.

Key features include full-depth rescue compartments, storage for nine rescue extrication tools, and a Harrison Hydraulic 10 kW generator.

The units are intended to bolster Chattanooga’s rescue and firefighting efforts.

Custom pumpers designed for urban needs

The two custom pumpers ordered by Chattanooga are built with Spartan Metro Star MFD 10-inch RR chassis and Cummins X12 500 horsepower engines.

They include a 750-gallon water tank and Waterous CSU 2000 GPM pump.
