Change of command of the 7th Independent Company of Military Firefighters of Pouso Alegre

The 7th Independent Company of Military Firefighters (7ª Cia Ind), in the southern region of Minas Gerais state, Brazil, held a ceremony of change of command in the Plenary of the City Council of Pouso Alegre on 14 February.

The event was attended by the commander of the 6th Operational Fire Command (6th COB), Colonel Edirlei Viana da Silva, as well as representatives of the Armed Forces, Military Police, Civil Police and other civil and military authorities.

At the ceremony, Major Acácio Tristão Gouvêa handed over the command of the unit to Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Martins da Silva. Major Tristão, who was the Head of the 7th Ind Company, now serves as deputy commander of the unit.

As a way of recognizing the services provided, both Major Tristão and the new Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mauro, received tributes during the ceremony.
