CFSI announces 2024 Legislators of the Year as Schumer, Johnson, Peters and Kean

The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) has announced that four members of Congress have been selected as CFSI’s 2024 Legislators of the Year. 

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (NY), Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (LA), Senator Gary Peters (MI), and Congressman Tom Kean (NJ) each worked in the 118th Congress to pass into law a fire and emergency service top legislative priority: the Fire Grants and Safety Act (P.L. 118-67).

This bill reauthorized vital fire service grant programs and the U.S. Fire Administration

The CFSI has announced four members of the 118th Congress as the 2024 Legislators of the Year.
