CEPI of Ceará’s Military Fire Department intensifies inspections for the 2025 Carnival

The Fire Prevention Engineering Command (CEPI) of the Military Fire Department of Ceará (CBMCE) has reinforced their inspection actions during Carnival 2025, with the aim of ensuring the safety of revelers and compliance with fire prevention and fighting legislation in the state.

Daily inspections to be carried out by CEPI

CEPI’s specialized teams will carry out daily inspections in places with a large concentration of public, such as stages, cabins and other spaces, verifying the conditions of the structures and compliance with fire and panic safety standards.

The main items evaluated during the inspections will be the presence of fire extinguishers in good condition and with a charge within the expiration date.

Escape routes will be checked to be unobstructed and properly signposted, alongside adequate and accessible emergency exits.

The safety of electrical installations will also be evaluated, avoiding overloads and short circuits.

In addition, all structures and electrical installations used in the events will be checked to have adequate grounding and a technical responsibility document (ART/RRT) issued by a qualified professional, attesting to the safety of the installations.
